Madrid.— The outgoing British ambassador to Spain, Simon Manley, could be appointed the new British ambassador to the European Union, the
The Times reported yesterday. Manley, who was a hugely successful British ambassador to Spain, visited Majorca on numerous occasions and presided over three events which were organised by the Bulletin.
If Manley gets the top European Union job it will be a boost for British expatriates in Spain because he is well aware of the problems they face especially post-Brexit.
Manley lengthened his stay in Spain because of all the uncertainty regarding Brexit and to his credit, he alongside his team in the Consular network, organised a whole series of events to keep British exp at s informed about Brexit.
